Note to Suppliers/Contractors:

The Risk and Insurance Section in the NEC Contract indicates which Eskom Procured Insurance is applicable to the Contract.Whilst some of the Eskom insurance formats are annually renewable .Please note the contract-insurances secured by Eskom will cover the contract until formally handed-over by the Contractor to the Eskom Client-Division [Terms and Conditions of the Insurance Policy are applicable].

Example: If your contract commenced within the 01 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 period of cover - it will remain covered by this policy until your contract is completed - even if it is completed after 31 March 2012. Similarly, if the contract commenced in a prior year, example: Within year 01 April 2007 to 31 March 2008, the Formats and Insurance Policies relevant to that 2007/2008 period will continue to apply to your contract.

Please Note: Contractors are advised to print the relevant insurance related documents and secure them as signed-attachments to the main NEC document.
