Dynamic Excess Energy
South Africa’s energy landscape is evolving rapidly. With Eskom’s improved generation capacity and the growing contribution of renewable energy sources, periods of surplus electricity are becoming more frequent. To effectively manage this, Eskom is introducing the Dynamic Excess Energy product — a short- to medium-term initiative designed to optimise the use of excess power. This concept aims to engage stakeholders, gather market insights, and shape strategic solutions that benefit both the energy sector and the country as a whole.
What is the programme?
A unique pilot programme offering discounted surplus electricity to highly flexible, high energy industrial users. The programme is limited to twelve (12) months.
