The purpose of the listed bank accounts is for Eskom customers, both prepaid and postpaid, to validate bank accounts appearing on bill statements, quotations, and remedial charge sheets as a fraud prevention measure when making payment into any of Eskom bank account.
Take note of the following:
- For Postpaid/Conventional customers: Ensure that you validate the bank account appearing on your bill statement against the published list to confirm it is a legitimate Eskom bank account.
- For Prepaid customers: Please use only the bank account appearing on the charge sheet issued to you by Eskom for your respective province and authenticate it against the published list.
- For Project-related payments: Please use only the bank account allocated to you upon receiving your quotation from Eskom and authenticate it against the published list.
- For Emfuleni DAA Munic customers: Ensure you only use the bank account that has been officially communicated to you by your local municipality, which is also included and highlighted on the published list.

- Direct or electronic deposit (EFT).
Important: Always include your 10-digit Eskom account number in the reference field when making a payment. If you don’t have an account number, please use your 11-digit prepaid meter number instead.
Request reconnection of electricity supply
If your electricity supply has been disconnected due to non-payment or tampering, you may request reconnection by emailing your proof of payment to the Provincial Customer Service team responsible for your area (see list below). Alternatively, you can visit your nearest Eskom Customer Service office to submit your request in person.
Please use #DCE in the subject heading of your email to ensure prompt routing of your request.
Example subject line:
