Cable theft leads to loss of supply to Heilbron
FRIDAY, 21 JUNE 2019: Cable theft at Heilbron Substation on Wednesday night has resulted in loss of supply to Heilbron Town and Phiritona Township. While we are doing everything to recover electricity supply as speedily as possible, the restoration time is still unknown, but will be communicated at a later stage.
Eskom apologises for the inconvenience and urges those affected to be patient while supply is being restored. Electricity supply can be switched on without notice. Customers are therefore reminded to treat all electrical sockets and appliances as live and dangerous.
We urge community members to immediately report any suspicious activity relating to theft and vandalism of electrical infrastructure to the relevant authorities.
For more information and updates, contact the Eskom Contact Centre on 08600 37566.
