Work underway to restore supply to Dihlabeng Municipality
TUESDAY, 19 MARCH 2019: Yesterday Eskom lost supply to parts of Bethlehem due to a transformer fault emanating from a tap changer.
Work is still underway to restore electricity supply. Eskom has sourced additional material required to repair the transformer to ensure a speedy restoration of supply. In addition both Eskom and Dihlabeng Local Municipality are putting contingency plans in place to mitigate delays in fully restoring the electricity supply.
We thank customers for their patience and apologise for the inconvenience while we work non-stop to restore electricity supply. The estimated time for restoration is not yet known, but will be communicated as work progresses.
Electricity supply can be switched on without notice. We advise consumers to switch off all electrical sockets and appliances and to treat all electrical connections as live and dangerous.
