Frequently Asked Questions
Do I Have to Repay a Bursary?
Yes. Eskom has a workback and/or payback obligation. You will be required to work for the organisation for a particular period after graduation. Failure to complete your qualification within the agreed time, you will be obligated to pay back Eskom.
Can I Apply for a Bursary if I am Already Studying?
No. Eskom bursaries are available for first-year applicants, pursuing a qualification in the Engineering stream.
How will I know if my bursary application was successful?
Eskom will contact successful candidates only once the final selection process has been completed. If you have not received any communication within three months of the application closing date, it means that your application was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, we cannot provide individual feedback on unsuccessful applications.
