Eskom attends to the reported outages in Gauteng

Thursday, 28 October 2021: Eskom is attending to the increased supply interruptions affecting customers across Gauteng as a result of multiple network faults that are exacerbated by network overloading, illegal connections, meter bypasses, cable theft, vandalism and unauthorised operations on the electricity infrastructure.

Customers are encouraged to use the self-help channels to report faults, check balances and submit their own meter readings. Use Alfred the Chatbot to report faults on https://alfred.eskom.co.za/chatroom/, the MyEskom Customer app, or csonline to check balances and submit meter readings on https://csonline.eskom.co.za/GTConnect/Login.

“We would like to apologise to our customers for the inconvenience this causes and appeal for your patience as we work on restoring supply to all affected customers.  We can assure you that our priority is to ensure that supply is restored as speedily as possible”, says Daphne Mokwena, the Customer Services Senior Manager in the Eskom Gauteng Cluster.
