FRIDAY, 12 JUNE 2020: A transformer trip at the Hertzogville Rural
Substation resulted in a loss of supply to rural customers (HRW, HRL and HRP
lines). The incident happened at 02h10 last night.
While initially also affected by the outage, supply to
Tokologo Township and Hertzogville Town has since been restored.
Technicians have been dispatched to the substation to
investigate the cause of the trip and to restore supply. Estimated
restoration time is however still unknown.
Eskom apologises for the inconvenience and urges
customers to remain patient and to treat all electrical installations as live
and dangerous at all times.
