ESKOM CONTINUES EFFORTS TO RESTORE SUPPLY TO HERTZOGVILLE CUSTOMERS
SATURDAY, 13 JUNE 2020:  Restoration at Hertzogville Rural Substation continues after a transformer trip resulted in loss of supply.  The incident happened in the early hours of Friday, 12 June 2020. 
 
As communicated in a statement on Friday, 12 June 2020, rural customers around Hertzogville are affected by this outage.  Initially Eskom was able to supply Malebogo Township and Hertzogville Town; however, these areas have also been affected since last night.
 
Technicians worked throughout the night and are continuing their efforts to restore supply and to repair the transformer at the Hertzogville Rural Substation.
 
Eskom apologises for the inconvenience and urges customers to remain patient and to treat all electrical installations as live and dangerous at all times.
