ESKOM RESTORES SUPPLY TO VREDE
WEDNESDAY, 18 NOVEMBER 2020, 11h30: Electricity supply to Vrede in the Free State was restored at 10h45 this morning after a loose conductor on the Standerton – Grootfontein 132 kV feeder resulted in a loss of supply to the town at 07h48 this morning.  
 
We thank all affected communities for their patience.  Electricity users whose supply is still affected, should consult their electricity service provider.

ESKOM LOSES ELECTRICITY SUPPLY TO VREDE
 
WEDNESDAY, 18 NOVEMBER 2020: A fault on the Standerton – Vrede Munic 88 kV feeder has resulted in a loss of electricity supply to Vrede in the Free State since 07h48 this morning.  Eskom customers feeding from the Ascent Rural substation are also affected. 
 
The cause of this unplanned outage is yet to be determined and an estimated restoration time is therefore still unknown. 
 
Eskom apologises for the inconvenience and reminds those affected by the loss of supply to treat all electrical installations as live and dangerous at all times as electricity supply can be switched on without notice.
