MONDAY, 13 SEPTEMBER 2021: A replacement transformer required for the restoration of electricity supply to Tweeling in the Free State is expected to arrive in Tweeling this evening. Once the transformer arrives on site, replacement will commence. If no complications are encountered, supply is expected to be restored by midday tomorrow, 14 September 2021.
Eskom lost electricity supply to Tweeling in the Free State due to failure of Tweeling Transformer 11. Supply has been interrupted since 22:00 on Saturday, 11 September 2021.
Eskom apologises for the inconvenience caused by the supply interruption and thanks electricity users for their patience. Electricity users are reminded to treat all electrical installations and appliances as live and dangerous during the interruption period as electricity supply can be switched on without notice.
