TUESDAY, 14 SEPTEMBER 2021: The replacement transformer that was installed at Tweeling Substation in the Free State was energised at 18h19 this evening.

This follows a lengthy outage that commenced at 22h00 on Saturday, 11 September, when Transformer 11 at Tweeling Substation became faulty and supply to the town was interrupted.

We thank the affected electricity users for their patience.

Loadshedding will be implemented at Stages 3 and 4 between 05:00 on Monday morning and 16:00 on Wednesday

Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented from 05:00 on Monday until 05:00 on Tuesday. Stage 2 loadshedding will then be implemented during evening peaks on Tuesday and Wednesday

Regretfully Stage 4 loadshedding will be implemented from 14:00 on Friday until 05:00 on Saturday; thereafter Stage 2 loadshedding will continue until 05:00 on Monday
