Eskom sends its condolences to Mr. Sifiso Dabengwa’s family, friends and associates

Monday, 02 September 2024: Eskom is deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Sifiso Dabengwa, who previously served as a Non-Executive Director on our Board of Directors. Appointed by the Presidency on January 20, 2018, Mr. Dabengwa was a valued member of the 13-member board until his resignation on July 21, 2020.

“The current Eskom Board, along with its executive team and employees, acknowledges Mr. Dabengwa’s significant contributions to enhancing governance and management within the organisation. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace,” expressed Eskom Board Chairperson, Mteto Nyati.

We hope that his family, friends, and associates find comfort in his lasting legacy and draw strength during this period of grief.
