Battery Storage License applications
Eskom appoints service providers for its battery energy storage project
In terms of Section 11 of the Electricity Regulation Act, 2006 (Act No. 4 of 2006); Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, hereby places on notice, that a license applications have been lodged with the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) to operate generation plants from Battery Storage technology.
All interested parties and/or any member of the public may lodge written objections with NERSA, within 30 days from the date of this publication. Such objections must be in a form of an affidavit and must be directed to NERSA through any of the addresses:
