TUESDAY, 15 JUNE 2021, 14:40: Restoration of supply to the Free State town of Sasolburg is progressing well. Supply to Sasolburg was lost on Sunday, 13 June 2021, after both transformers at Vaalpark Substation were damaged beyond repair due to normal faults over the weekend.
If all goes according to plan, supply should be restored tomorrow, 16 June 2021.
Eskom acknowledges the discomfort and inconvenience experienced by affected electricity users and assures them that repairs are being attended to with the required urgency.
Electricity users are urged to treat all electrical lines, sockets and appliances as live and dangerous at all times as electricity can be switched on without notice.
Eskom customers are encouraged to download the MyEskom Customer App from Google Play and the App Store.
