Eskom restores supply to Metsimaholo Local Municipality

WEDNESDAY, 16 JUNE 2021, 12h00: Supply to Metsimaholo Local Municipality in the Free State was restored at 11h20 this morning after a replacement transformer at the Vaalpark Substation was successfully installed and energised.

Eskom lost supply to Metsimaholo Local Municipality on Sunday, 13 June 2021, following the failure of two transformers at the Vaalpark Substation.

We thank the affected communities for their patience during this lengthy outage and appreciate the efforts of our technical staff who worked long hours to restore supply.

Should an individual household or business still be without supply, the enquiry should be directed to their local electricity service provider, Metsimaholo Local Municipality.
