Monday, 17 July 2023: Eskom and Mr Jan Oberholzer part ways by mutual agreement. His last day with Eskom will be 31 July 2023.

Mr Oberholzer was on a fixed-term contract to provide support to the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station long-term operation (LTO) and Kusile Power Station projects.

Eskom expresses gratitude to Mr Jan Oberholzer for his dedicated service, expertise and valuable contributions during his tenure. We wish him well in his future endeavours.

Loadshedding will be reduced to Stage 3 and 4 over the weekend

Eskom considering disconnecting the City of Tshwane

Loadshedding has been reduced to Stage 2 at 08:00 – 16:00 this afternoon. Stage 3 loadshedding will be implemented from 16:00 until 22:00 tonight

The power system is severely constrained and loadshedding may be implemented at short notice during the evenings, should there be any significant breakdowns.

Due to a shortage of generation capacity, Stage 6 loadshedding will be implemented from 16:00 this afternoon until 05:00 on Thursday. Thereafter, Stage 5 loadshedding will be implemented until 16:00 on Thursday.
